Hi! Quick notes on production.
I used a new tool set to be able to ink this episode while away from home.
I bought a “BrushH2O” by Kuretake from the Takapuna Art shop on my way from Whangarei to Whitianga in the Coromandel.
The BrushH2O is marketed as a water colour pen, but it handles ink well. It cost me $9.90NZD per brush. The brush is plastic as is the body and the reservoir barrel. To fill it one removes the body from the barrel and then you just squeeze out some air, dunk the tip in the ink and un-squeeze it so the ink sucks up into the barrel.
You do have to be wary of drips forming at the mouth of the body where it meets the brush, these can drop off the collar and onto the page you’re working up so beware!
So far though it has been a good experiment and it means that I can come out of the garage (where my studio is) when it’s sunny and do some inking!
Thanks for calling by!
See you next week!
